Punarvasu Nakshatra is the seventh Nakshatra in Hindu astrology. This Nakshatra spans from 200:00’ till 030:20’. Generally extending from Mithun or Gemini till Kark Rashi or Cancer, this Nakshatra comprises of the two intensely illuminated stars, namely Castor and Pollux under the constellation of Gemini.
The ruling deity of Punarvasu Nakshatra is “Aditi” who is known as the “devamatar” or the mother of Gods. Aditi is the wife of sage Kashyap and she is also considered the woman personification of Lord Brahma. Aditi has also been defined as the universal mother or the creator of all the creations.
