The history and origin of palmistry

The predictive science of palmistry is present everywhere in the world with different cultural variation. The palm reading was originated in India in the ancient time. Indian palmistry is different with culture variation.

In course of time, the palm reading got spread to China, Tibet, Persia, Sumeria and many other countries of the world. The palmistry got spread to Europe where Greek philosopher and astronomer Anaxagoras has also practiced hand analysis. The history also says that the great philosopher of the world Aristotle has practiced the study of palm reading. The history also says Aristotle had presented the treatise on palmistry to Alexander the great.

Modern palmistry

Division of palmistry

The study of palmistry has been divided into two parts such as Chirognomy and Chiromancy. The part of chirognomy deals with the shape and sizes of the palm, skin, colors, fingers and thumbs, mounts, nails, while chiromancy deals with the lines and marks on the palm. Both the sciences are interdependent.

It is altogether impossible to predict without either chirognomy or chiromancy.

Types of palms

No palms are equal in the world. However, for the classification and calculation it has been divide in to 7 parts. The seven kinds of palms are elementary hand, square hand, conic hand, philosophic hand, spatulate hand, psychic hand and mixed hand.

Elementary hand

The elementary hand is the lowest types of hand. In short, it is the hand of labor class people. The hand is extremely ugly to look at. This palm also heavy, think, hard to touch. The person having this kind of palm is emotionless, quarrelsome, anger and having no intellectuality.

Square hand

The person belong to square palm is practical by nature. They don’t use imagination and more or less business oriented. They believe in law and order, honest and reliable.

The palm basically looks like a square. The wrist is more or less square in shape. The base and tip of the fingers are look square. This has no trace of pointed finger. The nails are also square in shape.
