Five elements and Vastu Shastra
There are five elements taken into consideration in Vastu Shastra. These five elements are as follows:
- Earth
- Water
- Fire
- Air
- Space
As per the science of five elements, the whole universe is made with these five elements. All the living and non-living elements in the universe is the combination of 5 elements be it human being, animals, trees, creepers, serpents and rodents etc.
The body of the human being is also run by these elements. The coordination of these 5 elements of in the body of human being can really make a difference. As the human being, so is the dwelling place. Hence, the house should be constructed by the proper co-ordination of these sacred and sublime elements.
These elements are vital in determining the placement of the objects in a particular direction to enhance the positive energy at home, offices, temples, school, colleges, hospitals and garden etc.
For example; the kitchen should not be placed in the northeast corner since the NE is the place which is the place of water elements. And the kitchen should be placed in the southeast corner which is the place of fire elements.
The scientific approach and application of these five elements may not completely change the destiny. However, it will certainly be helpful in creating growth story in your life.

As u said the kitchen should not be placed in the northeast corner but i have it in that direction can u please give me some tips regarding that.
Hi Pradnya, It is always recommended to keep the North-East corner vacant and should be kept only for Puja place. In case you have it in the NE, then replace it. I don’t think you can remove the Vastu Dosh by simply keeping Vastu Dosh Nivaran products. Remember always NE corner is the most important place in the house that should never be neglected.
